Hanoi (VNA) – The Ministry of Health (MoH) on January 26 sent a document to the ministries of foreign affairs, national defense, public security and transport, as well as people’s committees of cities and provinces managed by the center, on the creation of favorable conditions for those entering Vietnam on the occasion of the Lunar New Year. Feast (Tet).
The Ministry of Health said nearly 100% of people over the age of 18 in cities and provinces received the first COVID-19 vaccine, 95.6% the second and 18.6% the third. . The rate of children aged 12 to 17 receiving the first and second vaccines reached 94.1% and 82.2%, respectively.
In order to facilitate entry into Vietnam, the Ministry of Health has requested ministries, people’s committees of cities and provinces managed by the center to continue to lead the implementation of the regulations in its dispatch No. 10688/BYT-MT dated December 16, 2021 on COVID-19 prevention and control for entrants.
They were required to give instructions on 5K regulations and health declarations to attendees before they enter and after they arrive at residences, improve inspection and testing during their quarantine.
People wishing to enter Vietnam must test negative for SARS-CoV-2 72 hours before arrival, except for children under 2 years old, and install the PC-Covid application for health declarations.
Vietnamese citizens, Overseas Vietnamese and their relatives, unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, could receive free vaccines during their quarantine in the country if they wish.
They must cover all costs related to testing, quarantine, health checks and treatment and others concerned in accordance with Government Resolution No. 16/NQ-CP of February 8, 2021.
The Ministry of Health has also issued requirements for participants who are fully vaccinated, recovering from COVID-19 and unvaccinated or partially vaccinated./.
