Ten tons of Vietnamese longan exported to Australia

VIETNAM, Aug 11 – HÀ NỘI — Nearly 10 tonnes of Vietnamese longan were exported to Melbourne, Australia on Wednesday, according to the Việt Nam Trade Office in Australia.

Previously, tens of tons of tropical fruits were transported around the country.

The office said it had coordinated with importers in the host country to hold an event to introduce Vietnamese longan to local consumers and overseas Vietnamese.

Vietnamese longans exported to the states of South Australia and Western Australia by Red Dragon Co Ltd and distributed by 4Waysfresh continue to be popular with local consumers.

4Waysfresh said it was waiting for Red Dragon to ship more longan to Australia.

The office urged Vietnamese companies to promote the export of longans and other agricultural products to this market and coordinate trade promotion activities with it. —VNS
