The Anam Nha Trang Vietnam – Travel Weekly

Overlooking 300 meters of waterfront on Vietnam’s beautiful Cam Ranh Peninsula, The Anam is a nod to its Indochinese history with a modern Vietnamese twist.

First impression / Look and feel on arrival

The Anam’s open-air lobby has the wow factor and is like a romantic colonial throwback to time. French colonial influence is harmoniously integrated into the architecture and design of this luxury resort.

It was also designed to take advantage of the region’s pristine climate with 300 envious days of sunshine per year and an average temperature of 26.5 degrees Celsius year round.

The 12 hectare property is shaded by 3,000 coconut palms and is surrounded by pristine Long Beach

Anam is located in the northern part of Cam Ranh Peninsula and within a 20-minute drive from Cam Ranh International Airport.

The resort is easily accessible from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi with daily flights from both cities

The spa

Spa Anam has 10 treatment rooms, including four VIP rooms designed for couples, each equipped with two massage beds, a hammam, a sauna and an outdoor granite Jacuzzi.

I have enjoyed this world class spa three times as its reputation preceded itself by its traditional Asian healing techniques.

I tried the mud wrap and scrub only offered at this spa in Vietnam. The texture was sublime and the treatment is renowned for its antioxidant properties. My skin broke after that.

All of this, combined with exceptionally trained therapists for an immersive wellness experience from the moment you walk in the door.

The rooms

The rooms are tastefully appointed with hardwood finishes from a sustainable forest and mosaic floor tiles, creating a striking distinction.

Spacious and with all the creature comforts. There is a mini bar with an espresso machine which is always a big plus for those who like their coffee in bed. In addition to a king-size bed or twin beds, each room has a sofa and balcony, the bathrooms have a large shower as well as a bathtub, creating a sense of completion in the design.

Drink and eat

We had breakfast everyday in Indochina and it was superb. I’m not usually a buffet fan, but it was a hearty breakfast that included Vietnamese, Asian and Western dishes, extensive spreads of pastries, breads and fruit, a live cooking station and freshly squeezed fruit juices.

And did I say I love coffee? The coffee was amazing.

Le Colonial, a French-inspired gourmet restaurant was equal to some of the best French restaurants in Paris.
