Thua Thien-Hue (VNA) – The central province of Thua Thien-Hue and national flag bearer Vietnamese airlines agreed on a comprehensive cooperation agreement for 2022-26 to promote local destinations, tourism and investment.
The two sides will promote a series of programs including communications and promotions in tourism, investment, trade, air service in the post-COVID-19 recovery plan in 2022 and beyond.
The province and Vietnam Airlines will jointly organize international and regional education, culture, tourism and overseas promotion programs.
Vietnam Airlines will help boost destinations, trade and investment and
cultural programs of Thua Thien-Hue through its air service around the world, calling for investment in the tourism hub.
As a result of this cooperation, the national airlines officially became the carrier of the Hue Festival 2022.
Thua Thien-Hue has resumed organizing the 11th biennial Hue Festival cultural event after a year-long delay due to COVID-19.
Different traditional and contemporary cultural shows, carnival, cooking festivals will be held in Hue.
Thua Thien-Hue won three ASEAN Tourism Awards in the 2021 MICE Destination, Green Hotel & Resort, and Sustainable Tourism Service categories at the ASEAN Tourism Forum in Cambodia.
Hue is offering its unique tourist service – One Destination-Five UNESCO-recognized World Heritage Site – to attract visitors to the province in 2022.
Hue was the Imperial Capital of Vietnam for more than 100 years and has been a unique destination in Central Vietnam with its five UNESCO heritage offerings: Ancient Citadel Relic Complex, Court Music palace of Hue, the wooden blocks of the Nguyen dynasty, the royal administrative documents of the Nguyen dynasty and literature on the royal architecture of Hue./.
