Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam Airlines has offered to transport 5 million doses of COVID-19[female[feminine vaccine (11.5 tonnes) provided by COVAX Facility – a mechanism set up by the World Health Organization (WHO), from March 15.

With this proposal, the national carrier wishes to join forces to successfully implement the country’s vaccination campaign against COVID-19.

Previously, Vietnam Airlines ground units participated in the successful receipt and storage of the first batch of vaccine for Vietnam on February 24 at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.

On March 6, Vietnam Airlines safely transported the first batch of COVID-19 vaccine on flight VN220 from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi.

Vietnam Airlines has the most modern and synchronous infrastructure for transporting vaccines in Vietnam. He installed ultra-cold storage systems at airports. The company can also deploy a refrigerated container service to store vaccines during air transport.

With its network of 60 air routes across the country, Vietnam Airlines can quickly transport large volumes of vaccines to dozens of provinces across the country.

Besides domestic flights, the company still maintains flights to destinations in Asia and Europe. This helps her to be ready to ship vaccines overseas when needed. /.
