Vietnam Airlines to Test IATA Travel Pass on Two Flights from Narita, Japan

0

Vietnam Airlines has confirmed that it will begin its IATA Travel Pass trial on two flights numbered VN301 from Narita Airport (Tokyo, Japan) to Da Nang on July 15 and 23, 2021.

Passengers wishing to participate can register on the Vietnam Airlines website at least 3 days before the departure date, download the IATA Travel Pass app on their mobile phone, create their digital passport and enter flight information.

Passengers must be over 18 and have a negative COVID19 result at any eligible clinic based on the IATA laboratory registry.

During the test, passengers should always present the test results on paper when requested by the authorities of the destination country.

As the last step of the testing process, passengers are required to complete a survey to help improve the customer experience.

The first 30 passengers who complete the Vietnam Airlines IATA Travel Pass test flight survey in July will receive a Titanium Lotusmile membership card.

Currently, over 70 airlines are testing or have committed to testing the IATA Travel Pass. The IATA Travel Pass allows passengers to share test and vaccination certificates and securely manage their travel in accordance with government requirements. This will be important for governments that are likely to require verified tests or proof of vaccination as a condition of international travel during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Importantly, the IATA Travel Pass reduces the enormous risks associated with passengers using false test results and false vaccination certificates.
