Vietnam: Hanoi sets up a home quarantine for Covid-19 contacts in the city



HANOI, December 4 (Vietnam News / ANN): Local authorities in Hanoi are extending home isolation for F0 and F1 cases in the city to 30 districts and townships, as prescribed by the health sector.

The demand was made after Hanoi People’s Committee chairman Chu Ngọc Anh signed a dispatch to implement measures in response to a continuing rise in Covid-19 cases in the city.

The number of new cases is expected to continue to rise rapidly, especially as travel traditionally increases in the later months of the year.

There were 1,751 new cases found in the city between November 25 and December 1, an average of 291 cases per day.

The president asked the health ministry to guide districts and townships in strengthening pandemic control measures while increasing the speed of vaccine distribution.

The Ministry of Health will coordinate with the Ministry of Information and Communications to deploy software to manage the treatment of F0 cases in medical facilities and at home throughout the city.

The localities have coordinated with the Ministry of Health to set up facilities to treat mild and asymptomatic F0 cases according to the mobile medical station model, ensuring that each district, municipality and canton has at least 150 beds in mean.

The dispatch also asks for more information to be accessible to the public, such as through the portals of neighborhoods and municipalities, to inform residents of the quarantine plan and treatment of F0, F1 at home.

The Ministry of Tourism has been urged to cooperate with the Ministry of Health to review accommodation facilities that meet F1 isolation requirements.

The city has assigned districts and townships to coordinate with Capital Command and the Department of Transportation to transport F1 cases to the city’s concentrated isolation facilities within 12 hours of a positive test result.

The city president also instructed the Ministry of Education and Training to work with the Ministry of Health to inspect and guide the localities in preparing for the return of students to school, ensuring absolute safety for them. students and teachers, while being prepared to deal with any situation. – Vietnam News / ANN
